a little bit late......................
Patricia I think that time thief is travelling up and down the country as I really do not know where last week went too...............I know I worked my extra hours for the first time and covered a morning due to illness but.................puff if just seemed to disappear................
anyway here is my offering for oldie Friday.............I haven't done this for a while as I had shown (or I think I have) all the old cards I have made over the last few years but I did use to attend a project class where we learnt all different techniques (this is where my love of 'messy' crafting started) and I do have all these on display in my craft room so I thought I would take some piccys and share with you...................
Not sure if I have shown this one before but if I have I do apologise......................
the completed box which is made from chipboard and had to be assembled.................
a little clearer in this photo...................
the knobs where not supplied in the class and these were added on when we got our projects home.........I also lined the inside with some co-ordinating paper that I had in my stash at home..............
now I did have a before and after photo of this knob (which is just from our local Wilkos) originally it was a bright, shiny gold colour but after using alcohol inks and wax this is how it turned out...........
The reason I haven't really shown my projects from classes before is because although I made them, they are not my ideas................................but you do personalise your projects ie you may change the colour way (which I did on this box) and also the bits and bobs you add and the stencilling etc are down to your choice with what is available on the day at the project class - so everyone tends to come up with something slightly different..................
The ideas for all projects I have made and will show at some point are from a very talented lady called Julie Atkinson and the ideas and techniques I have learnt from this person are second to none..........and the inking and waxing of the knobs for the front of the drawers although done at home I would never have known where to start before I attended her classes.
I hope you like and sorry if I have rambled a bit................
I will be posting an Easter card on Sunday so I will extend my Easter wishes to you all then, but in the meantime have a lovely weekend whatever you are up to.

PS Diane thank you so much for visiting and leaving a lovely comment - the amount of comments seem to be going up (slowly but surely) and you don't know how chuffed I am with that. Also to get a comment from another blogger from across the pond just absolutely thrills me to bits!!
